| Installing Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X

Sophos OS X Instructions
1. Open a web browser and go to: http://software.ucdavis.edu
Select the Antivirus folder on the left hand side and navigate to:
"Sophos: Single-Machine". Then scroll down to the bottom of the page
and click Download for OS X
2. On the next window that appears, click Single Download
3. It usually downloads to your 'Downloads' folder. Double click to
open the Sophos download disk image.
Once that opens up, double click the Sophos Anti-Virus.mpkg to
start the installer.
4. Welcome to the Sophos Anti-Virus Installer - Click Continue
5. Important Information - Click Continue
6. Standard Install - Click Install
7. You are prompted for your OS X computer password to install. Go
ahead and put that in.
8. Installation completed successfully - Click Close
9. Next, click on the shield icon at the top right of the screen and
choose Update Now
10. Sophos then downloads the latest updates. This can take several
minutes.
11. Sophos Anti-Virus has been updated - Congrats you are finished!
Problems?
If Sophos is not updating, download the latest version from
http://software.ucdavis.edu and run that latest installer.
To uninstall Sophos, double click on the file located in: Hard drive
> Library > Application Support > Sophos Anti-virus >
Remove Sophos Anti-Virus.pkg
