The 5 ways to Change or Reset your Computing Accounts password


How to change or reset your Computing Accounts (often referred to as Kerberos) password.


You have several options to change your password. Please use the list below.
  • If you know your password and want to change it:


     
    1. Go to https://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu/
    2. Select Change your password
    3. At the Authorization Method prompt, select Kerberos Password
    4. Then follow the password change instructions

  • If you have forgotten your current password and have set up the Online Password Reset service:


     
    1. Go to https://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu/
    2. Select Change your password
    3. At the Authorization Method prompt, select Identity Verification Questions
    4. Then you will be asked to answer the questions you previously selected.

  • If you have forgotten your current password and have not set up the Online Password Reset service:


     
    Six IET Computer Labs provide walkin password resets. The reset service is available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., except on Fridays, when the service ends at 6 p.m. Please bring a photoID with you when you are asking for a password reset. The password reset labs are:
     
    • 177 MU
    • 1154 Meyer
    • 15 Olson (Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm, Fridays 8am-5pm)
    • 1101 Hart
    • 182 Shields
    • 75 Hutchison

  • If you are a staff or faculty member in a department


     
    • Check for an available department Account Proxy.
    • If you are at the UC Davis Medical Center, contact the Customer Support Center at 916-734-HELP (4357).

  • If none of the above options are available


     
    Complete and fax the following form to IT Express:
    Fax Password Reset Request Form
    Please type information on form then print.
